Team GB horses, riders and officials at the World Equestrian Games can look forward to receiving expert support from a number of British-based companies, who are helping the squads bring back medals.
The British equestrian teams are supported by a number of official suppliers who ensure the horses and riders have everything they need, from Thermatex rugs for the horses and matching team Toggi clothing for the riders, to Land Rovers to transport riders and team officials around Kentucky.
They also receive nutritional advice and logistics support from Dodson and Horrell and feed supplements and care products from NAF. NAF sent a shipment of Electro Salts, Ice Cool and NAF Off Deet Fly Repellent out to Kentucky to help the horses cope with the specific climatic challenges at the Games.
Lorna George, UK Sales Manager for NAF says: “We have been working very closely with the BEF and are thrilled to have so many riders using our products.”
Patey Hats, Mears Country Jackets, Point Two equine and Nuumed assist the riders with their kit requirements, ensuring that the British teams are turned out to the highest possible standards.
Team GB vet Liz Brown has also taken a quantity of Horse Quencher, a low-sugar muesli style mix that encourages horses to retain hydration levels by drinking more water, with her to the Games.
Other WEG competitors using Horse Quencher, which is not part of Team GB’s official product partnership scheme, include reigning USEF national four-in-hand driving champion Chester Weber, US eventer Buck Davidson and paradressage rider Mary Jordan.
