Boost for young Scottish riders

  • Young riders in Scotland stand to benefit from improved coaching and training facilities after it was announced that the sportscotland Lottery Fund will invest £38,752 in the Scottish Equestrian Association as part of its JuniorGroups Programme.

Four-time Olympic medallist Ian Stark has already lent his support to the initiative as coach.

Ian Robson, chief executive of sportscotland, said: “If we want to see Scots winning at European, World and Olympic level, we must provide support for our youth now and give them every opportunity to succeed in the future.”
