Bolesworth applies for 4-star but cancels national show

  • After a successful show last month, Bolesworth International has applied for four-star status for next year’s show.

The inaugural CSI3* (12-15 June) was hailed as a success by riders, owners and fans.

Organisers told H&H that plans were in place to upgrade, but a formal application to the FEI has now been submitted.

Due to this the national show, which was due to run in September, has been cancelled.

“We are keen to ensure that every facility available for 2015 meets the quality needed to host next year’s proposed CSI 4*,” said Nina Barbour from Boleswoth.

“There are still areas such as the international stabling area that now need further drainage and groundwork. With this in mind, we felt we had no choice but to cancel the national show. This will allow us to enjoy an even bigger and better Bolesworth International next year.”
