The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) has secured additional funding to help companies develop their export markets.
UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) – which works with businesses to ensure their success in international markets – has provided the funding to subsidise BETA’s trade missions to key shows worldwide.
“Those that exhibit as part of a BETA group benefit from the trade association’s vast experience of international trade shows, logistical support and export advice,” said BETA’s Claire Williams.
There is now extra funding for companies wishing to visit Spoga Horse Autumn in Cologne, Germany (2-4 September 2012), the China Horse Fair in Beijing (16-18 October 2012), Equitana in Essen, Germany (16 March 2013) and the Dubai International Horse Fair (21 March 2013).
“BETA will be attending the China Horse Fair to help co-ordinate the British group and assist them in identifying aniche in this emerging market,” added Ms Williams.
“There is a huge potential for companies wishing to break into it, but it is vital that they start now.”
Places in the trade missions are open to both BETA members and non-members. But limited availability means that potential participants should register their interest as soon as possible.
