BEF develops new award for young volunteers

  • A new award for young equestrian volunteers has been developed by the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) to encourage and inspire 13- to 25-year-olds who volunteer to help in the equestrian industry.

The Young Equestrian Leaders Award (YELA) was launched at Windsor (report, 19 May) and is open to those who help at any affiliated equestrian event. The award has three levels — bronze, silver and gold — depending on the number of hours worked.
