Ballinacoola International Horse Trials cancelled this summer

  • Ballinacoola International Horse Trials in Ireland will not run this year, following the death of organiser and estate owner Tim Philips.

The horse trials in Glenealy, Co Wicklow were due to run on 24 and 25 July 2010.

Eventing Ireland said in a statement: “The Philips family hope that Ballinacoola International will be back on track in 2011 with the support of all concerned.”

Mr Philips, a huge supporter of the Irish sport horse, passed away a couple of weeks ago following a long illness.

He organised the Ballinacoola horse trials for 11 years, and introduced an international CCI in 2008.
