The British Horse Society’s Drawing the Line campaign, to stamp out indiscriminate breeding, has been given a boost with auction lots from some of the UK’s most talented artists.
The BHS auction takes place on 13 October 2010 at Cheffins in Cambridge, and lots include pictures drawn by Alan Titchmarsh, Ian Stark, Lucinda Green and Kelly Marks, a lesson from David Broome and a visit to Carl Hester’s yard.
Now Sally Mitchell Fine Arts has donated Awaiting Command, a 24in x 20in oil on canvas, framed, original painting by artist John Trickett.
Over the Last, an original oil on canvas (18in x 30in) framed, racing picture has also been donated by leading equestrian painter Malcolm Coward.
And equestrian artist Nikki Moore has donated a framed watercolour/gouche painting entitled Exmoor Lad.
The BHS is producing a special charity Christmas card for next year entitled Christmas Present, as well as packs of note cards featuring Ms Moore’s Exmoor Lad.
Both of these items will be available for purchase from late spring 2010 from www.britishhorse.com
All profits will go to the Drawing the Line campaign.
