American actress Kaley Cuoco nearly loses foot in riding accident

  • American TV actress Kaley Cuoco nearly lost her foot after a riding accident last month, she has revealed.

Kaley, who starred in sit com Eight Simple Rules and is currently in the Big Bang Theory, fell during a lesson on 11 September and her horse trod on her foot, snapping her ankle, the star told the Ellen De Generes chat show on Tuesday (12 October).

She said the break was so severe doctors told her they may have to amputate.

The foot was saved and Kaley spent two weeks in hospital before being released with metal bars in her ankle.

But this has not put her off riding. She told DeGeneres: “If I could get this cast through the stirrup I would be on a horse right now. It was just a freak thing, I can’t wait to get out there.”
