The Norfolk Shire Horse Centre in West Runton has been put on sale as its owners of 25yr, David and Jonquil Bakewell, have decided to retire.
Included in the sale are all the equine stars of the centre the nine Shires, two Clydesdales, one Suffolk Punch, one Ardenne and one Percheron, which are used in the daily working demonstrations of cultivating, harrowing and ploughing.
Mr Bakewell, who will be 64 next year, said: Were bound to miss the place but we want some quality time for holidays abroad. I also want to write childrens books about cart horses.
He added that the highlights of his time at the centre were the reunions of Second World War land army ladies that he hosted every three years.
Also on the market is West Runton Riding Stables, which the couple have run for 35yr. Mr Bakewell said he was looking for offers in the region of £1.5million for both the stables and the shire centre, including the house, land and all facilities.
Brochures are available from Tim Stephens of Humberts, (tel: 0845 223 4337).
The couple have vowed to continue opening the centre until a buyer is found. For more info visit www.norfolk-shirehorse-centre.co.uk
