KBF99 take home an award from the Lord Stafford Dinner

  • Equine grooming range KBF99 took home the top prize in the innovation category at the Lord Stafford Awards earlier this month.

The awards “celebrates and recognises collaborations between business and academia in developing innovative products, processes or services”.

KBF99, launched by Vale Brothers, offers a range of grooming products that “assist in the prevention of infection and reinfection of various troublesome and painful diseases”, including strangles, ring worm and E.Coli.

Managing director of Vale Brothers, Peter Wilkes, said: “Coventry University approached us with the idea of an antimicrobial horse grooming kit and, using their scientific expertise and our manufacturing know-how, we have managed to develop the KBF99 range.

“This [winning the award] is excellent news and we’re delighted to see the partnership that brought this product to market recognised in this way.”

Lord Stafford, Patron of the Awards, which took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, said: “I congratulate both the company and the university for their achievement.”
