The Countryside Alliance is looking for stewards to help out at the Liberty and Livelihood March next month
The Countryside Alliance is calling for volunteers on 22 September to work as stewards at the Liberty and Livelihood March.
“We hope that most of the volunteers will be able to take part in the march either before or after they complete their role as stewards,” explains Jane Charley of the Countryside Alliance.
Although the CA has sufficient stewards to run the event safely, the organisation is hoping to attract between 500 and 1,000 extra people so no one has to work the whole day.
“The work will be varied and will include assisting marchers along the route,” explains Jane.
“Ideally we are looking for people to get together in groups of 10, but we are also looking for smaller groups and individuals who can join a team when they arrive.”
All stewards will be provided with tabards for the duration of their work and will be fully briefed prior to the event.
If you think you can help please contact Jane Charley (tel: 020 7840 9309) or email: jane-charley@countryside-alliance.org.
