For the first time in its 302-year history, the Quorn hunt is reducing its days’ hunting per week from four to three next season.
Abandoning its traditional hunting pattern, the hunt committee has decided to hunt on Monday s, Thursdays and Saturdays.
“The change is not due to a lack of support, but reductions in huntable country due to new motorways, busy main roads and other developments,” said hunt secretary Tim Hall-Wilson.
“We are most grateful to the Quorn farmers and landowners for their support and co-operation with the new arrangements.”
