Major Tim Easby takes over from Alastair Jackson as director of the Masters of Foxhounds Association (MFHA) on 1 May.
Major Easby is currently deputy director of the MFHA and has hunted the Middleton and West of Yore in his native Yorkshire.
Mr Jackson, a master of foxhounds for 24 years -with the South Dorset, Grafton and Cattistock – took over as director of the MFHA in 1997.
He will continue in his part-time role of chief executive of the Hunt Staff Benefit Society.
