The complexities of hound showing are explained in a new guide produced by the Countryside Alliance (CA).
The booklet has been produced to accompany the hound shows that run throughout the summer.
Titled, “Hounds and Hound Showing,” it gives an insight into what the judges are looking for during the showing process, has illustrations of foxhound and beagle conformation, and the different hound types.
Henrietta Rutgers, from the CA said: “We handed the first booklets out at the South of England Show where they proved very popular with the general public and hunts alike.”
