Albrighton huntsman Ray Shaw was found dead at the hunt kennels near Shifnall, on Tuesday 11 December.
The alarm was raised when Mr Shaw, who was in his mid-40s, failed to turn up for hunting that morning.
Hunting was cancelled on Saturday 15 December as a mark of respect.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said an inquest would take place but they do not believe anyone else was involved in his death.
Mr Shaw leaves his wife, Margaret.
