The Veteran Horse Society (VHS) has joined forces with feed company Dodson &Horrell in trying to promote the health of ageing horses.
By helping to improve veteran horses’ feed and nutrition, the two organisations hope to benefit members ofthe VHS and to encourage newcomers to join the society.
Launched on 6 November 2000 at the British Equine Event, the VHS offers members a quarterly newsletter, advice on health and welfare, free advertising and a junior section for children ridingveteran ponies.
All new members will receive discount offers redeemable against Dodson & Horrell products as part of the partnership.
Welfare manager, Helen Baseley, provides VHS members with a point of contact for problems or queries regarding their veteran horse (tel: 01926 511656).
