Accident claims jumping stallion Mr Majestic

  • Mr Majestic, Derek Morton and Geoff Glazzard’s popular Dutch-bred stallion, was put down last week following an accident.

The seven-year-old son of Concorde caused a huge stir with his loose jumping ability when he was approved with the Anglo European Studbook. He enjoyed success in the ring, too, and was runner-up in the five-year-old final at the 2005 Portuguese Sunshine Tour.

“Sadly, he had a freak accident and damaged his tendon,” Derek revealed to H&H. “He had two operations at Newmarket, but he wasn’t getting better and it wouldn’t have been fair to put him through any more treatment.

“Luckily, we’ve got some frozen semen, but it is a great loss.”
