If you’ve been inspired by the Royal Windsor Horse Show, take a look at just a few of these working hunter types for sale on the Horse & Hound website this week.
1. ‘Lovely light ride’
Height: 17.1hh
Age: seven
Gender: gelding
Selling points: “This stunning gelding has been given time to mature due to his size. He is a beautifully made hunter and has hunted with four Leicestershire packs. He had a fabulous first season of showing as a six-year-old, narrowly missing out on HOYS qualification. He has also evented and is a real family horse. He has been enjoyed by multiple riders and is 100% to do.”
2. ‘Top class’
Height: 16.1hh
Age: five
Gender: gelding
Selling points: “This seriously smart horse has ability and breeding to match. He is working well on the flat with three balanced and correct paces. Dressage judges love him and he also has a super jump, being athletic and careful. He has been unaffiliated showjumping, hunting and cross-country schooling, finding it all very easy and taking it in his stride. He has a lovely compact frame making him really easy to ride and he does everything in a snaffle. He is a delight to deal with both at home and at a competition. 100% to do.”
3. ‘Destined for the top’
Height: 15hh
Age: five
Gender: gelding
Selling points: “‘Freddie’ has a fabulous temperament and is well handled. He was professionally broken in 2015 and he shows lots of potential. He has attended dressage and showjumping competitions and is good to do and loves attention. His breeding includes the late Strinsdale Matador and his dam is graded with the British sports pony stud book (British) as an elite mare so with his breeding, looks and temperament Freddie is destined for the top.”
4. ‘Very impressive’
