David Evans is the course-designer for the BE90, BE100 and novice classes. A few changes and improvements are being made to all cross-country courses.
The dressage will be sited in a large, flat grass field that is well away from the cross-country course. The showjumping will also be held on grass.
The cross-country courses are inviting and educational. There will be two water complexes, plus banks and ditches. The ground is well-draining sandy land with good going. The track has some undulations in places, but is fairly flat. The ground will be prepared as necessary. The tracks suit anyone wanting a well-built track and an educational run.
What the riders say
Dressage & showjumping — “The dressage warm-up areas and arenas are on good ground as long as it isn’t too dry.” “The showjumping arena is excellent with good grass coverage making it lovely to jump off.” “The warm-up areas are easily large enough.”
Cross-country — “The BE100 was a nice course with plenty of variety and long routes if required.” “All the courses have two water jumps which are great for giving young horses experience.” “The novice course walked very big and technical, but rode well, but probably isn’t one for a new novice horse.”
