The British team for the young rider European Eventing Championships at Blair Castle (23-26 August) is:
- Emily Galbraith, 19, (pictured) and Crown Alliance
- Ben Hobday, 19, and Uptons Who
- Lauren Shannon, 20, and Quixotic
- Georgie Spence, 18, and Cottage Craft Spirals, with Song For Gull as a direct reserve horse
Georgie scored a one-two at the final trial at Gatcombe last weekend, while Emily and Ben are Britain’s reigning national under-25 and under-21 champions. Lauren was on the gold medal-winning team at last year’s championships.
As the home side, Britain can field eight individuals in the Jump Savings-sponsored squad. The chosen riders are:
- Charlotte Agnew, 19, and Little Beau
- Charlotte Castle, 19, and The Cointreau Challenge
- Dani Cuomo, 18, and Ballin Willow
- Sophie Griffith-Jones, 20, and Seaboy
- Flora Harris, 19, and Double Image II
- Ginny Howe, 19, and Cavort
- Nicola Malcolm, 19, and McFly
- Nicola Wilson, 21, and Oingy Boingy
The reserves are Tamsyn Hutchins (Opposition Springtime) and Elder Scouller (Pebbly White Stuff).
