World Cup eventing qualifier will be at Gatcombe

  • The British Open Championship at Gatcombe will now incorporate the British HSBC FEI World Cup eventing qualifier, after its original fixture at Chatsworth Horse Trials (16-17 May), was cancelled due to wet weather.

The qualifier at the Festival of British Eventing (7-9 August) is the last before the World Cup final in Strzegom, Poland (21-23 August).

As well as the Open — in which the highest-placed British rider is crowned national champion — the festival also includes the British intermediate and novice championships, classes that often highlight stars of the future.
