Cross-country fences formerly used in the Windsor CCI two-star event will be sold at an open auction at Tweseldown (14 February). Many of the fences were built for the final Windsor Horse Trials in 2005 and all are portable and of intermediate height.
A hay rack, pheasant feeder, flower box, roll top and a park bench are all available in the auction, in addition to the houses pictured above. The condition of each fence has been categorised by a letter: A being excellent and C being average.
We have already had a lot of interest from both private and professional purchasers, explained Chris Farr, who is organising the auction. There are nine steeplechase sections in total which are proving popular.
A full list of the fences along with photos, guide prices and a reserve bid form is available on the British Eventing website www.britisheventing.co.uk. For more information please contact Chris Farr (tel 07702 901006).
