US eventer Colin Davidson, 29, dies after road crash


  • US eventer Colin Davidson has died after being involved in a road crash on Sunday.

    Mr Davidson, aged 29, was a member of the USEF 2010 developing rider list and rode in the Rolex Kentucky CCI4* in April with his horse Draco.

    He was severely injured when his truck collided with a tree and rolled down an embankment near Charlottesville, Virginia.

    Mr Davidson was taken to the University of Virginia medical centre but was removed from life-support this afternoon, US time.

    A local TV news report said his was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
