Kate Hunter, 14, is still unconscious after a fall at Bishop Burton Horse Trials on Saturday, 30 May.
The young event rider is in Hull Royal Infirmary, and has recently been moved from intensive care into the paediatric section of the hospital. Her condition is described as stable and she is breathing unsupported.
Kate was riding in BE90 (previously known as intro) section K at Bishop Burton on eight-year-old mare Seagull Silver Lady when she suffered a fall on the cross-country.
This was Kate’s first year riding in British Eventing competitions and she had completed four BE90 competitions with Seagull Silver Lady, with two clear cross-country jumping rounds. She finished eighth on her last run, at Shelford Manor.
Kate is from Market Rasen, Lincolnshire.
