Ludwig Svennerstal makes Swedish eventing team for London Olympics

  • British-based Ludwig Svennerstal is the final member of the Swedish eventing team for the London Olympics.

Ludwig, who is based with Christopher Bartle at the Yorkshire Riding Centre, clinched his spot by finishing 11th in the CICO*** at Aachen yesterday, riding the 10-year-old bay gelding Shamwari 4.

The 21-year-old joins sisters Linda Algotsson (La Fair) and Sara Algotsson-Ostholt (Wega) on the team, as well as Niklas Lindback (Mister Pooh) and Malin Petersen (Sofarsogood). These four riders were all named for the squad a couple of weeks ago after good performances at Luhm ¼hlen.
