Ian Stark retires


  • Ian Stark made his final bow as an event rider when finishing 11th on Full Circle II at the Kentucky Rolex four-star event at the weekend.

    The announcement of Ian’s retirement was made at a special ceremony before the show jumping. He got a warm greeting from the stands jam-packed with nearly 20,000 fans.

    Ian, described his final ride across country as “fantastic; he was just a superstar”.

    British performance manager Yogi Breisner said of Ian’s retirement: “What a way to go, on a sunny day when you’ve just had a good ride round on a horse you produced yourself.”
