Top riders will be heading to NAF International Hartpury Horse Trials in Gloucestershire later this week (7-11 August).
This is the 11th time the horse trials has run, and this year’s entries include Olympic medallists William Fox-Pitt, Nicola Wilson, Andrew Nicholson and Mark Todd.
Course designer Eric Winter has revamped the cross-country course — built by Andrew Hunter — and Hartpury has made a huge investment in the irrigation system to ensure a top quality track.
The Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse classes for 4 and 5-year-olds will be held on Wednesday and are a great opportunity to spot the stars of the future.
With admission free from Wednesday to Friday, and tickets only £10 per person at the weekend, this is a great opportunity to see eventing’s biggest names on a budget.
And if you’re travelling from afar, you can make the most of the Hartpury discount at the Holiday Inn in Gloucester — only a 15min drive from the venue.
