Four-star eventer Chapel Amble put down

  • The four-star mare Chapel Amble, who completed Badminton with Nick Gauntlett and Burghley with Jules Stiller, was put down yesterday (11 October).

The 15-year-old by Amerigo Vespucci was with Jules at Headley Stud, Berkshire when she was diagnosed with a suspected aneurism.

“She will be greatly missed by myself and Nick as well as the whole Arscott family who used to own her,” said Jules.

“She was a very special, much-loved horse, who was truly one of a kind.”

Chapel Amble came 44th at Burghley in 2011 and 21st at Badminton in 2010.

Her last event was at Barbury with Jules in June this year, where she finished 43rd.
