Farewell to… commentator Justin Llewelyn

  • Horse trials commentator Justin Llewelyn has died, aged 59.

Mr Llewelyn suffered a heart attack on Saturday night (8 December) and died at his home in Lincolnshire.

Mr Llewelyn was the brand ambassador for Taittinger champagne, but he will be best remembered as a commentator at all the major horse trials, including Badminton, Burghley, Bramham, Blenheim, Gatcombe and Chatsworth.

He also officiated at the past three Olympic Games as a steward.

A funeral for friends and family will be held before Christmas and a memorial service is planned for early 2013.

Mr Llewelyn leaves his wife Claire, and daughters Charlotte and Rosamund.
