Event rider Kitty Boggis has got engaged to former National Hunt jockey Ben King.
Kitty, 26, was on holiday with Ben in the Dominican Republic before Christmas when he popped the question.
“He used to be a National Hunt jockey for Nicky Henderson, so he’s fairly horsey and understands eventing and all the time I have to spend faffing around,” Kitty told Horse & Hound.
She added that Christmas and New Year has been: “a really nice period of celebrating with both of our families.”
The couple hope to marry in December this year.
Meanwhile, it’s back to work for Kitty.
“We’re already getting the horses fit, we’re going out show jumping soon, so we’re fully underway already,” she said.
