There will be a CIC*** at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials (10-13 September) this year.
The new international one-day event class will run alongside the established CCI*** (international three-day event).
The CIC dressage will take place on Friday and the show jumping on Saturday after the CCI cross-country. The CIC cross-country will be on Sunday morning.
“This will give spectators the opportunity to enjoy cross-country on two days, as well as offering more riders and horses the opportunity to compete at this prestigious venue,” said event director Mandy Hervieu.
There will be 40 places available in the CIC*** and the class is being positioned as an opportunity to spot the stars of the future, so priority will be given to horses aged eight or nine years old.
The internet box office at www.blenheim-horse.co.uk opens for discount advanced bookings this Thursday (1 January 2009).
Customers who pre-booked for Blenheim 2008 — which was cancelled due to torrential rain — can take advantage of extra savings and a complimentary programme when they book for Blenheim 2009, as a “thank you” from the organisers for their support and loyalty (refer to website for more details and terms and conditions).
