Blair to host European Young Rider Eventing Championships

  • The European Young Rider Eventing Championships will be held in Scotland again in 2011.

Blair Castle International Horse Trials has been awarded the under-21 championship for the second time in five years.

Around 15 teams travelled to Scotland to compete at the Europeans when they were held at Blair in 2007.

Blair International Horse Trials director Alec Lochore said his team is looking forward to welcoming nations again.

“I am delighted that Atholl Estates with significant support from Event Scotland and the Perth & Kinross Council have again brought top-class championship sport to Scotland.”

The four-day event takes place every August, and this year celebrated its 20th year. The regular CCI***, CCI** and CCI* will take place as usual alongside the championship.
