A few last words before we set off…
The lorry is packed, the shoes are bought!
It always amazes me just how long it takes to pack the lorry for a three-day, even though i am well aware of it from previous experience. But it is done now and it all looks very tidy and organised.
Eliot’s (Big El) last canter went really well, so I am confident he is peaking just at the right time. Also the last jump this morning went well, so that’s another positive note to leave home on…
So the excitement and nerves are now about to become a reality and I keep feeling like I need to pinch myself as I am about to leave home to go to the “biggest” three-day event in the world. What an honour.
I’ll be in touch from the event…
Dee
From Wednesday, Dee will be doing a daily audio diary at Badminton. Don’t worry if you don’t have facilities to listen in — there will be a written summary too. Go to www.horseandhound.co.uk/badminton2009 for all H&H’s online Badminton coverage.
