All 83 horses put forward for the first horse inspection today at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials were passed by the ground jury.
Three combinations were sent to the holding box — H&H blogger Alex Hua Tian and Jeans; New Zealand’s Joe Meyer and Clifton Lush; Great Britain’s Clea Phillipps and Lead The Way — but all passed on re-inspection.
Both Nick Gauntlett’s ride Rocket Science and Ruth Edge’s Two Thyme were asked to trot again and then accepted.
Charlotte Castle, who was eliminated in the cross-country on her first attempt at Badminton last year, withdrew her ride The Cointreau Challenge before inspection.
First to go in the dressage tomorrow morning will be Daniel Jocelyn riding Special Attorney.
