Young dressage riders benefit from reduced entry fees

  • Entry fees for the young rider and junior dressage championships have been reduced by two-thirds.

The International Dressage Riders Club (IDRC) filed a complaint to the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) about the high entry fees for teams at last year’s junior and young rider championships.

The FEI responded by cutting 2007’s €1,275 (£971) fee to €400 (£305) this year.

The Germany-based IDRC was concerned that the fee would prohibit riders from poorer and less prestigious dressage nations from competing.
