Richard Davison sells Karachi to Anky’s pupil

  • Richard Davison has sold his former international grand prix horse Karachi to Anky van Grunsven’s pupil, former Dutch young rider Elise Swanenberg.

Richard owned the now 14-year-old Karachi for six years, their best result being the Sunshine Tour last year, where he finished second in the kür with 72%.

“Anky’s always liked Karachi, especially for his engine,” said Richard. “Elisa wanted to do the new FEI under-25s grand prix, and Anky and I though Karachi would be ideal.

“He’s really matured into a grand prix horse in the past year, Elisa has been coming over to ride him since before Christmas and she gets on really well with him.”

Richard’s next prospect is Gwendolyn Meyer’s Wallini, whom Richard has brought on for the past 18 months and will bring out at grand prix after the Sunshine Tour (26 Feb-18 March).
