This year’s BHS Instructors’ convention boasts the world renowned dressage trainer Christoph Hess and international rider Nicole Uphoff. The theme of the two-day convention will be “Training the Dressage Horse”.
Taking place for the first time in Scotland, the convention will be held at Gleneagles Equestrian Centre, Auchterader in Perthshire on 20-21 November. It is sponsored by Scottish Farmer/Scottish Horse, Super Solvitax and Eqvalan, aswell as the Scottish Equestrian Association.
Christoph Hess, an international dressage/eventing trainer and judge, is director of training for the German Equestrian Federation as well as being responsible for the German National Centre at Warendorf.
Nicole Uphoff has won Olympic, World and European team and individual gold medals for Germany with during her successful partnership with Rembrandt.
Christoph and Nicole will be demonstrating their training methods through practical sessions with a variety of horse and riders during the two days at Gleneagles. They will also be explaining how to ride a dressage test.
Although the convention is aimed primarily at BHS Instructors, it is open to all. Tickets are strictly limited and cost £48 for two days and £28 for one day for registered instructors, £58/£38 for BHS members and £77/£52 for non-members.
