Tim Hadaway, FEI director of games and championships, has been awarded a medal of honour by the British Equestrian Federation (BEF).
This is in recognition of his role as competition manager for the London 2012 equestrian events.
BEF chairman Keith Taylor presented the award at Badminton on Sunday (11 May).
Tim was credited with bringing equestrian sport back to the heart of the Olympics and increasing the visibility of the sport to a global audience.
He started out in the Pony Club, before working as a cross-country course builder and designer and then moving into event management. He was director of Blair horse trials in the 1990s, and has since held technical advisory positions within British Eventing.
