Olympic dressage team member Richard Davison has been signed up to ride the Ballaseyr Stables’ dressage horses.
Based on the Isle of Man, Ballaseyr also sponsor Irish show jumper Cameron Hanley.
Richard, who will also be involved in the Ballaseyr sponsorship scheme, will be riding a number of horses formerly ridden by Heiki Holstein, including Ballaseyr Royale and Ballaseyr Legend, who are both competing at grand prix.
“I am very honoured to have been chosen and the support of suchhigh quality international horses will be of great benefit, not only to me, but also to British dressage,” said Richard, who already has Royale and Legend at his Uttoxeter base.
Richard’s principal sponsor remains Hiscox plc, who will continue to support his other horses, including Hiscox Askari and the talented youngster Hiscox Karachi, until the Athens Olympics in 2004.
