The Longines FEI European Eventing Championships at Blair Castle, Scotland (10-13 September) promises to be a fantastic event and the Horse & Hound team is on hand to bring you news of all the action as it happens.
H&H’s eventing editor Pippa Roome travelled up to Blair Atholl to bring you news from the first horse inspection on Wednesday 9 September as well as pictures of every fence on Ian Stark’s cross-country course.
On Thursday and Friday, H&H’s website editor and keen amateur eventer Carol Phillips was joined by H&H dressage columnist Anna Ross, who was selected as a reserve for the British dressage team at the Europeans last month in Aachen, Germany, commenting on each and every rider as they try to impress the dressage judges. On Saturday, Carol was joined by H&H eventing reporter and Blair regular Sue Polley to bring you all the highs and lows of the exciting cross-country phase.
Then on the final day, we’ll report on the all important final horse inspection and make sure you don’t miss a single falling pole as the competition comes to a climax. In addition to this live service, we are published daily online reports and video interviews with the riders, including a daily British individual round-up. And we will have detailed analysis of where the competition was won and lost, plus the very best photography from the championship in Horse & Hound magazine, on sale Thursday 17 September.
