Emily Secrett-Hill
H&H’s art editor
Emily is Horse & Hound’s art editor. She first joined the H&H editorial team in 2010 on work experience while studying graphic design at Falmouth University. On completing her degree she swapped the relaxed seaside university life for a very different one in central London working as a junior designer in the H&H team. Since then she has worked her way up to lead the art and pictures team.
Since joining H&H, Emily has worked three Olympics, working overnight and being the final eyes to see each page. She has had the pleasure of designing some of the big H&H campaigns over the years, including all the branding for the H&H Awards, the refresh of horses for sale, H&H Plus, and has modelled for some H&H adverts in the past, too.
Emily grew up attending local riding schools before getting her own pony at the age of 10, a strong-willed palomino called Gypsy who had a habit of charging at you when trying to avoid being caught.
Emily’s next horse was an ex-racer called Chance – a fiery chestnut mare who lived up to her name. The pair were members of the Axe Vale Pony Club, taking part in the famous New Forest camp and regularly hunting with the Axe Vale.
Now a mum, she considers herself more of a ‘happy hacker’ and shares a wonderful pony called Hickie with a friend.
