To celebrate the launch of The Mane Event, a hour of dedicated equestrian TV between 6pm and 7pm each Sunday on the Animal Planet digital TV channel, HORSE Magazine is offering readers the opportunity to spend a day with Olympic event rider William Fox-Pitt and Horsetails presenter Alice Plunkett at their private stables.
The Mane Event will feature a new series of Horsetails followed by a new programme, A Stable Life. The second series of Horsetails sees original presenter Alice Plunkett alongside professional polo player Karl Ude-Martinez as they travel the globe in search of the latest news in the equestrian world. As well as covering all the UK’s top equestrian events, Horsetails features equine experts, including the author behind The Horse Whisperer, and horse enthusiast Noel Edmonds.
The audience can then follow the weird and wonderful traditions that make the equine world so fascinating in A Stable Life. This programme introduces viewers to Ed and Nadia Brook of Caldecote Farm, who have made a life out of buying, selling and breaking some of the world’s top stallions. Viewers will see how Caldecote Farm’s stables are run; from the livery yard to the indoor training school, offering a fascinating insight into the world of show jumping and dressage. Every aspect of the stables will be revealed over the course of six episodes.
