Desi Dillingham has been nominated for the BHS Queen’s Award by British Dressage
Desi Dillingham is an inspirational figurehead, outstanding fundraiser, an active committee member, a committed supporter and a knowledgeable and devoted horsewoman. Most notable of all is that she performs all of these roles, and has done so for the last 10 years, on a voluntary basis.
Desi stood down in June 2007 from her role as Chairman of British Dressage, following 10 years at the helm leading the voluntary Board of Directors and fostering an environment of transparency and professionalism. Her leadership impacted on the enjoyment of everybody involved in the sport of dressage, from grass roots participation to Olympic and Paralympic level.
Paralympic Dressage has benefited from Desi’s foresight in ensuring full integration for disabled riders within the dressage system, while her quest to find new mounts for our top riders, has helped ensure that Great Britain has remained the best in the world for 11 years.
