Burghley launches live coverage

  • Equestrian fans need not miss a second of this year’s Burghley action. Live coverage of the cross-country as well as the best dressage performances and a course preview will be available on the internet, so those with broadband can follow the action as it unfolds on the first pay-per-view horse sport programming in the UK

The video internet broadcast will run continuously from 1am until 5pm on cross-country day, Saturday 9 September. A selection of the best dressage performances from Thursday and Friday will be followed by an introduction to Burghley’s challenging 32 cross-country fences by course designer Captain Mark Phillips. As the cross-country phase gets underway, viewers will be able to watch Britain’s top eventers negotiate one of the world’s toughest tracks from the comfort of their own homes.

Burghley’s live service will be the first of its kind in this country, and subscribers can dip in and out of the coverage as they wish and there will be a full repeat starting at 6pm on Saturday 9 September until am on Sunday morning.

For UK subscribers the cost is £6.00 for those who sign up before Friday 25th August, and £7.50 for those who sign up thereafter.
