Keiren Fallon, along with fellow jockeys Fergal Lynch, Darren Williams and the former racing syndicate director Miles Rogers, have all been charged with conspiracy to defraud as part of an ongoing investigation into corruption in the racing industry.
All denied the charges, which are related to an online betting exchange, and were released on bail; they are now due to appear in court on 17 July.
All the jockeys concerned have been banned from racing in Britain pending hearings with the Horseracing Regulatory Authority (HRA) on Friday 7 July.
The police have said they are investigating allegations that there was a conspiracy to defraud for more than 80 races over two years.
Jockeys Robert Winston and Paul Bradley, plus the amateur rider Dale Jewett are also due to answer bail.
