A wave of new features will be flooding Horse & Hound magazine this Thursday (15 June). Destined to become firm favourites with readers, the features are designed to enhance what is already Britain’s oldest and most popular equestrian magazine. Horse & Hound’s new articles will spotlight Britain’s hunts, answer readers’ queries as well as looking into intriguing equestrian history.
“Focusing very much on H&H’s unsurpassed knowledge, news coverage, equestrian heritage, archives – and sense of humour – our new features will bring even more fun, debate and information to the magazine,” said Horse & Hound editor Lucy Higginson.
A fortnightly series on ‘Hunting counties of Britain’ will provide a county by county look at Britain’s hunts and the out of season activities that accompany them. The new question and answer forum – ‘Ask H&H’ will give professional answers to readers’ technical queries regarding insurance, employment and planning. On a lighter note, the magazine has also acquired a new cartoonist to draw up a weekly ‘Stabling Stereotypes’ caricature.
Horse & Hound will also be taking a look back in history with a new feature called ‘This week in 19xx’ where some historic event or oddity of the equestrian past from the corresponding week in an earlier year to will be reprinted.
“Four years’ terrific sales growth has reinforced H&H’s position as the world’s leading equestrian magazine. But success is borne of constant innovation and improvement, and the introductions we are making to the magazine this June form the next phase in H&H’s evolution,’ added Lucy.
