A modern Hanoverian stallion, with excellent conformatoin and elegant, elevated paces, Futurus is 100-day tested, licensed and approved.
He competed and won at international level dressage with Nicole Uphoff and Karin Rubien, before pursuing a successful jumping career at grand prix level. He is now retired to stud through injury.
A magnificent dual-purpose stallion with elastic, athletic paces only seen in dreams. A true gentleman, he is regularly handled by children.
Futurus’s sire, Werther, has established himself in the Hanover breeding region as a sire of exceptional diversity. His progeny have pushed him to the top of the FN breeding value studbook through excellence in show jumping and dressage. More than 30 approved sons and more than 50 state premium mares substantiate him as a top sire.
Futurus’s dam, Weekend, is the daughter of the valuable stallion Waldhorn, who has Waidmannsdank XX, Lugano II and Abglanz/T in his bloodline.
Futurus’s grand dam Goretta, is full sister to Gaston. This Hanoverian bloodline produced Askan 4 (by Almhugel III, the Olympic ride of Gerd Wiltfang, who won a team gold medal in Munich 1972); the Celle state stallion, Askan (by Archimedes) and Saskan; and the approved stallions Sao Paulo, Lightning Star, Aramiz, Aventinus and Laudatios; Senatsrat, his full brother Salvador 3 (international show jumper of Harvey Smith) and the highly decorated exhibition mare Weltdame.
His 2004 foals have proven very successful at numerous shows, including 2nd British-bred sports horse colt foal and placed in the Addington best british-bred dressage foal. All of his offspring have his naturally elegant elevated paces and unbelievable temperament.
