Initial impression of the bright green Kempton BR1 jacket tested in size 12 on a regular rider
When I opened this jacket the first thing that struck me was its brilliant bright green colour. It is extremely fun and vibrant, and you certainly wouldn’t be missed on a rainy day.
I tried the jacket on and it comes up true to size, if not a little bit big; the arms are quite large and it’s quite short in the body, but overall it fits well. I don’t think I would want it much longer in the saddle. It has a great ‘ski jacket’ feel and is the sort of jacket you want on the slopes as well as around the yard. It looks like it will be both waterproof, windproof and breathable so I’m looking forward to putting this to the test when I ride in it.
When fully zipped up I could still move my arms in all directions, so I also feel that this jacket will offer me full freedom of movement – a must-have in the saddle.
