Our reviewer liked these breeches, especially for wearing while jumping, but she would have liked a little more stretch in the fabric
I have tested the Toggi Gatcombe breeches in dark beige, size ladies 26 regular.
First impressions of the breeches are that they’re packaged typically for such a product, with clear presentation.
When wearing the breeches they are a snug fit with secure fastenings and a suede knee support, however there is not much stretch in the leg material, also the stitching at the base of the zip is not that secure.
In terms of the quality and comfort of the product, the material is thick and comfortable, but there could be a bit more elasticity in the knees.
When wearing the breeches on a horse they are comfortable for everyday use. However, in the rain the fabric got tighter, which wasn’t ideal.
Comparing the sizing to other brands, I found that they came up smaller in size so it would be nice to have a bit more stretch in the fabric.
Overall, I would recommend this product to a friend as they are smart and have good knee grips for support when jumping. A suggested refinement would be to add a bit more stretch in the fabric. The breeches are particularly useful for jumping in, as they are comfortable in the saddle with good movement and have a good grip on the knees.
Verdict
Good breeches for jumping in and would recommend to a friend
