Prominent racing duo face BHA inquiry

  • The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has launched an inquiry into whether former jockey Graham Bradley has been training and running horses under trainer Brendan Powell’s name. Powell faces a 3-month ban or £2,000 fine if found guilty.

Bradley was warned off in 2004 for five years for passing information for reward. He has since set up a bloodstock agency. He has applied for a training licence but that is yet to be approved, and he has been assisting at Powell’s Lambourn yard.

It is expected to go to a disciplinary hearing this summer.
